Winding Stair Campground

Unique Camping Sites in Franklin NC

Winding Stair Campground is one of Franklin NC’s most unique campgrounds, combining cozy accommodations with authentic working farm experiences across 15 beautiful acres.

Our ten distinctive sites offer everything from primitive riverside camping, glamping, and full house accomodations each generously spaced to provide the perfect escape into nature.

All guests enjoy access to the Nantahala River, covered Pavilion, full Bathhouse, and Campstore.

Tucked in the corner of the property, this custom-built, one-and-a-half story bunkhouse is right on the Nantahala River. The River House is our interpretation of the southern sleeping porch.
