Winding Stair Farm has two locations: the original mountain farm next to the campground, and the valley farm on Highlands Road in Franklin, NC. The mountain farm is home to Icelandic sheep, chickens, ducks, guineas, turkeys, and features limited vegetable cultivation. Here you will also find our historic, water-powered grist mill where we produce grits, polenta and cornmeal. 

Most of our produce is grown at our valley farm, adjacent to the Garden Center on Highlands Road. Our Certified Naturally Grown vegetables are grown to a higher organic standard that also honors the adjacent waterways and land that we steward.
